WHY?
The hell is wondering why? Sometimes I feel like that steel ball in a pin ball machine. It sounds kinda crazy. The world has always been crazy. I learned that at a very young age in Vietnam. A sign I saw when I was entering a helo on a medevac...YOU HAVE NEVER LIVED UNTIL YOU HAVE ALMOST DIED...I thought to myself, What the hell does that mean? Well...it didn't take me long to find out.
I always had hope. I knew the world had to get better. People who see this destruction and misery will learn from it. I really believed it back then and then time went on and the next thing I knew I was in Beirut as a navy corpsman with a bunch of marines. It was a different place and a different time and nothing had changed. It was 1983 and even after Vietnam and other places we were still political pawns being directed by a bunch of old men in Washington who have never been up front and personal with the true nature of war.
I have never lost faith in my country and the principles it was founded on but I've come to believe that you only get what you insist upon and it seems the people we elect to represent us begin the process of being slowly corrupted by pressure groups and on a personal level by power. They reach a point to where they forget or don't even care who they work for. Our government is broken. Integrity right from the top is gone. A fish rots from the head down and soon the citizens being frustrated soon disengage and now we have the inmates running a dysfunctional country right over the cliff.
At this point we need to step up our engagement and work for a whole new kind of people to represent us. People who will follow the constitution! People who will enforce the laws and repeal the bad laws. It seems to me that I said something like that back in the 60's while the whole world was falling apart. I do remember one thing...Rome did not change and the empire is no more!

American Exceptionalism Died in Benghazi. Will it Pass Away or be Passed On? - CowboyByte
Have We All Gone Mad?
Good morning and welcome to October 2, 2013 and everyday I ask myself how deep into the madness will I go today? Will I allow my passions and anger invade my serenity to a point to where the pressure takes me off the road of reason? Half the nation insists that all is well and the other half is miserable and has deep feelings of impending doom. Yes, divided we are. Divided in philosophy and opinions and some of us to dangerous extremes while others may withdraw into surrender and depression. The feelings...do we let them overtake us, to control us? Will this frustration drive us all mad to the point to where we are consumed by one mob or another or will we hold the line and stand true to the virtues that have always served this nation so well?
History tells us that in all cases where a nation goes off the rails and all decency is lost, it can all be traced to the top leadership. It is leadership that is ideologically driven without regard to any sort of logic. It comes from narcissistic self involved leaders who have an underlying antipathy for his people and will hold fast to any idea without compromise or regard for a more logical path. Leaders of this type have the right face for leading the masses into total destruction. He has the public face and the full support of the media propaganda machine. He can do no wrong and if he does he effectively assigns all blame into a different direction. He can make the big lie look as absolute truth. We have seen these leaders in history but we never learn from it!
"Too much sanity may be madness and the maddest of all, to see life as it is and not as it should be." Miguel de Cervantes
All of you have a safe and happy day. Fidelity to your causes and never give up on what's right. Best regards...Jimmy

Grief Stricken Christian Woman in Syria Lashes Out: ‘We Blame Obama!…He Is Helping The Rebels’… | Nice Deb
Who Really Is To Blame?
A couple of people order a steak medium rare and a cup of hot soup. The chef has decided that your steak should be overly well done and that your soup should be served cold for your own good. The waiter arrives with the order and the couple is outraged and precedes to call the waiter all types of nasty names. Soon the chef comes to the table with a large smile and full of personality. The couple were taken in by the chefs words and his manner and sense the chef was in charge. The couple demanded that the waiter be fired. The chef had blamed the waiter for the bad meal and at that point the waiter was again called numerous names right down to being a racist because the complaining couple were from Mexico. In the end the waiter lost his job and the chef remained in charge and continued to burn the steaks and serve cold soup and each day a new waiter was fired and the chef remained in charge until the restaurant went completely under. The restaurant was called the United States and unfortunately lost it's standing as a place to get a good honest meal...but it did have a likeable chef. If it weren't for those waiters who delivered what the chef cooked up the restaurant would be in business today.
...and that my friends is the state of leadership in America today. Have a great and safe day all. Jimmy
