POLITICALLY CORRECT?
Good morning troops. The politically correct certainly don't want to confuse anyone with facts. Just what are the rules on what is or is not politically correct? Who writes down these rules? Where can I get a book on political correctness? I assume it has replaced the book of basic manners and good sense. Is being politically correct about not offending or is it more about being scared to see what others perceptions are? Politically correct is about tolerance...RIGHT? Yet how does it seem to be more about intolerance? All I know for sure that political correctness didn't work so well on the battle field, nor did it work so well with the guy that tried to mug me a few years ago. Sometimes you have to take things as they are.
I think political correctness is an extreme form of dysfunction and a sure way of repressing what pisses you off to later come back as a form of pent up rage. I suppose this is where all these whacked out PC assholes surface from time to time. Maybe it's time we shed the PC crap and go back to basic honesty and respect others rights to have their own opinion. Let's go back to common sense.

POLITICAL CORRECTNESS is a form of suppression. It is a tool entities use as a weapon against those who have differing ideas. I is a way to label an enemy and appear to be the righteous one. Political correctness sometimes gets in the way of truth and honest feelings. It allows criminality to exist because one refuses to point out lawlessness for fear that theywill be labeled a bigot or be accused of hatespeacE

ReplyDeletePolitical correctness is selling out to the will of others. It is taking orders from people who want everyone to see the world from their own tiny little windows. It is people putting us on guilt trips we don't own, convincing us we are what we are not.
ReplyDeletePolitical correctness stifles opinions of people who might actually have valid points. It keeps people from expressing themselves for fear their peers will judge them to be a bigot, a right or left wing loon, an imbecile, or just plain uncouth.
We ARE black people, white people, Christians, Muslims, and Jews. They are not bigoted labels, they are adjectives of who we are. I am not a bigot because I saw a black man commit a crime, I am describing a man who committed a crime, it is relevant. I am not a bigot for saying a Muslim terrorist set off a bomb at a public event, I am stating a fact. I am giving homage to a Russian immigrant by reporting an extraordinary act. I am defining who he is and reporting a piece of his history.
Face it, we are not a vanilla society. We are all something derived from our past to make us black people, white people, Russian People, Chrtians, Jews, Muslims, or agnostics. It us nit a curse on our soul to be described as such in conversation. Only the politically correct will limit themselves to oppressed speech for fear of being judged.
